The Power of Fake News

I watched with awe on a different power harnessed via the power of the internet age. Information is spread in a matter of minutes – with tweets. Who would have imagined back in the 70’s that normal , ordinary folk could just type a message on a keyboard and it will reach thousands , even millions worldwide – in a space of a few minutes.

Like everything else , it comes with pros and cons but the dangers and damage it can do when basing your emotions on fake news outweighs all. “Responsible news reporting came through Reuters – a news organization which filters real news from the fake news. These days it comes from social media.

It is probably like a drug rush – you see and hear a lot without filter – but what is reality and what is not? You have to decide for yourself and act accordingly.

The problem with information is , it strikes your emotions first , and then your brain after. Ever notice how , you refuse to believe what is clearly stated and even proven if it does not sit well with you emotionally ? That is also the reason why people like Trump wins elections , because it moves the emotions although it is completely illogical.

When you understand this, you have the power to conquer the world. Slogans like “America First”, or “Let’s make America great again” , they sound kitsch to the rest of the world but it is an emotional slogan – that obviously sways the American People.

Convincing people with pure logic does not work – at least not as well as emotional-affecting news. If you think President Trump is not smart, think again – he was smart enough to utilize this platform to his benefit. Good or bad this change is inevitable and is even already here.
