We stayed in Tribe Krakow on our recent visit to the city. I chose to spend my birthday in a new city I have not visited. My choice was Krakow since I have heard much about it and recently I have been visiting countries which does not use Euro..
After countless trips through Central Europe, it was time to revisit the stunning historical heart of Kraków. This time, I was determined to find a hotel that matched the city’s dynamic energy—somewhere modern, stylish, and incredibly well-connected, but without the stuffiness of traditional luxury. That’s how I stumbled upon TRIBE Krakow Old Town, a brand that promises a blend of functional design and high-end lifestyle.
It had just recently opened, bringing a bold, new energy right to the doorstep of the Old Town. Knowing the Tribe brand’s reputation for cutting-edge interiors, I was excited to see if it could deliver accessible luxury in Poland’s royal city. Spoiler alert: for the modern weekend traveller, this spot hits all the right notes.

Arrival and Check-In to Tribe Krakow
We arrived in Tribe slightly before 11 , too early for check-in but prepared to leave our luggage at the Hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly staffer who told me “I’m sorry to inform you that your room is ready …” . It took me a split second to digest that but then a light bulb went off and from there it was smiles all around and a relaxed vibe set in.
Definitely great news for us – and we were glad to be able to settle in early as we planned to visit the Salt Mine. We headed on up to the room in very quick time.
The hotel’s location is nothing short of exceptional. We arrived by train and found the hotel literally a stone’s throw from the Kraków Glówny Railway Station and adjacent to the massive Galeria Krakówska shopping center.
Stepping inside, the Hotel Vibe was immediate: an atmosphere curated with contemporary art and designer furniture, embodying TRIBE’s social “Social Hub” concept. The lobby wasn’t just a check-in point; it was a living room, a coffee bar, and a working space all rolled into one.

Our 5th floor room is the very last room in the corridor which worked out very well and showed that the Hotel was listening to our request for a quiet room.
The TRIBE philosophy centers on compact, efficient luxury, and that’s exactly what the room delivered. While some guests might find them slightly smaller than average, the design maximizes every inch of space, ensuring comfort is never compromised.
The Bed Area
The centerpiece is the signature TRIBE bed, often compared to a five-star hotel standard. I can confirm the mattress was incredibly comfortable. Coupled with the soundproofing—a crucial feature given the central location—a deep, undisturbed sleep was guaranteed. We also appreciated the inclusion of blackout curtains, perfect for sleeping in after a long day of sightseeing.
Storage
Storage is smartly integrated. Instead of bulky wardrobes, there are open hanging spaces and drawers including for shoes which I appreciated. The room also includes essentials like an in-room safe and, importantly for any traveller, a high-quality hairdryer and an integrated steamer (much handier than an iron!).
Shower Area
The bathroom continues the minimalist, design-focused trend. The spacious rain shower and high water pressure were fantastic. A standout feature is the provision of luxury toiletries from Kevin Murphy, a definite step up from standard hotel amenities.
Coffee / Tea Making
For in-room convenience, a Nespresso machine and a kettle with a selection of teas are provided. The complimentary filtered water in the room is a highly appreciated, sustainable touch.
The room included a refrigerator too – which I used to chill the complimentary wine the Hotel so kindly gifted for my birthday.
In-room entertainment
The entertainment system is modern, featuring a large 55-inch flat-screen TV with Chromecast, which we used in the evening for watching movies in Netflix.

Although the hotel does not provide private parking , the area around has street parking. Being so darned close to buses and trains, I say leave them cars at home anyway. The Hotel accepts pets for additional fee.

The on-site restaurant, TRIBE Table, offers a genuinely unique dining experience for Kraków, specializing in a fresh, flavour-packed Asian cuisine that spans India to Indonesia. The Cocktail Hour & Grab & Go Corner
The TRIBE Cocktail Bar is a buzzing spot, perfect for a signature cocktail or a craft beer with non-stop tunes playing. This vibrancy is balanced by the 24/7 Grab & Go counter, which is a lifesaver for early risers or late-night arrivals, offering everything from artisanal pastries and specialty coffee (from the TRIBE Coffee Bar) to fresh, ready-to-eat salads and snacks.
The Wellness Corner
Guests can maintain their healthy routine at the well-being area, featuring a 24-hour fitness centre and a sauna. Access to these facilities is included, making it easy to relax and recharge after exploring the Old Town.
The Verdict on Tribe Krakow
TRIBE Krakow Old Town is a meticulously designed, high-energy hotel built for the contemporary traveller. Its strengths are overwhelming: a brilliant, city-centre location, exceptional staff, and a modern, design-led environment.
The location—steps away from the central station, the main shopping mall, and the Old Town—is perfect. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, compensating for their compact size with five-star bedding and smart amenities like the Nespresso machine and steamer.
The main highlight for me are the staff – helpful, smiley and warm. We got a very extended late check-out which I appreciated very much as we had a later flight and the weather outside was getting bad.
As is a common service dichotomy in modern lifestyle hotels: impeccable design and high-level hospitality, but with many amenities offered à la carte.
If you are looking for a hotel that embodies accessible luxury, efficiency, and a great social vibe in the heart of Kraków, TRIBE is an outstanding choice. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a base that immerses you in the city’s modern pulse. I will return for a repeat stay in a heartbeat!
