Abu Dhabi and the UAE itself has many outstanding architectures worth visiting and the Mosque is truly one of them. We were there on a cruise stop in 2023 and I had to decide if I wanted to see it at night or during the day. Let me tell you it was not easy to decide. In the end I went with seeing it at night. On Fridays there is prayer time and closed from 12:00 - 3:00pm. Take care to follow the guidelines. The most common thing that gets ladies turned away is the bare ankles showing - if the gown is not long enough to cover the ankles. A quick fix is to wear long socks. What is interesting is the lighting is adapted to the phases of the moon. During a full moon, the light will be whiter while a new moon will change the lighting to a darker blue. Wahat al Karama to get an awesome photo of the mosque from there.\u00a0 \u00a0We went with the taxi &#8211; but alternatively there is a footbridge to use from the mosque. I came across information that there is a shuttle between the mosque and the monument but cannot confirm for sure if it is running.
