Juggling Eyeballs along on my exploring trip .. Day 2

Woke up to -12 degrees in the morning.. A poor crow is cawing perched on the tree outside. I open the window for some fresh air and the cold instantly misted up the window.

The day started with a mcMuffin breakfast with Cappucino at the Berlin central station. Then buying the Day ticket for zones ABC costing 7.70 Euros for today.

Then took the S7 from the central to Wannsee. Following the bus stop signs , took the bus 316 to Glienicker Bridge.

There were blue clear skies the whole day and unbelievably chilly. Learning from the day before I had don even more layers of clothing on that I think I know how an onion feels.

Blue skies and everything cold

The location where The Wall used to be is clearly indicated.

I wanted to see this bridge because of its significance that it was half west and half east Germany. Prisoner exchanges were then done on this bridge.

Walking across it at the half point was a plaque to indicate it. Was somehow an emotional moment when seeing it.

Partial Frozen River

When its so cold, something magical happens the lake freezes but even more awesome is when a river freezes which I have never seen until now. It was a chance to walk on the river. An amazing feeling!

I didn’t see signs that its safe to skate on the frozen lake but lots of people are here

Walking through the gardens , there is the Schloss Cecilienhof

After the Schloss is an exit and bus stop to catch the bus to the city center. Stop at the Rathaus and walk towards the Nauener Tor which has the Dutch Quarter behind it and many small interesting shops!

Walking on to look for the impressive Sanssouci before heading back to Berlin. For more detailed information check out my blog on Potsdam.

Its lunch time and I found reportedly the only Malaysian restaurant in Berlin, lets try it!

Took the U Bahn then to head towards Goerlitzer Bahnhof where the park is.

Dusk is here and no better time for a Brandenburg Tor picture against the pink sky.

And after some time and a few steps away to the Reichstag.
