My dream on this trip to Paris was to stay in a Hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower. After extensive research , I found the Le Parisis Hotel. A check on the map showed proximity to the Metro as well as some good rated restaurants within walking distance. I planned in more detail this time as I was travelling alone on a compressed trip.

Arrival and Check-In to Le Parisis
A week before my arrival to Paris, the Hotel sent me a welcome note and requested that I complete a short survey. They then sent back some attractions and restaurants nearby. They included very useful instructions of how to get to the Hotel from the airport. I already have a good impression!
However, a few days before my arrival – I got to know there was a transport strike in Paris and so I booked a shared Paris shuttle from the airport to the Hotel. The check-in was handled by the very efficient and friendly reception of the Hotel. I was thankful for the fast process as it was a long travel day.
Le Parisis Room
I booked a single room on the 5th floor. It was not very big but it was very cozy and well equipped. Comfortable bed with the view that I booked for and i was completely satisfied. Every night I was lulled to sleep with the display of lights of the Eiffel Tower. What a nice dream come true!
The room is equipped with a safe and coffee machine. The Hotel provided complimentary drinking water which I appreciated very much. More importantly it has some pretty good sound-proofing. Right outside is the road and with the window closed there is hardly sound.
There is a comfortable and clean shower and toilet attached.
Le Parisis Facilities and Services
Le Parisis has a sauna and gym equipped which I did not use as I was too busy exploring Paris. I however did have Breakfast included during my stay . I start my exploring day very early every morning and was practically the only one at breakfast during those early hours. The breakfast area is very nicely decorated. The breakfast spread is quite typical of European breakfast and they offer very delicious food.
The Verdict on Le Parisis
As a single traveller in Paris, I felt very safe staying in this neighbourhood – the 15th Arrondissement. I was up and about before the sun was up and returned after the sun went down. I found some of my favourite restaurants very near to the Hotel. One of them is the Cafe Au Moka. On weekends there is a market right outside the Hotel.
I mentioned earlier that there was a transport strike and I used the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus to get around. The River Seine was walking distance from the Hotel and so is the Eiffel Tower. The No. 1 criteria for city sightseeing is location and Le Parisis is the perfect base. That and the view of the Eiffel Tower view from the Room!
