Arrival and Check-In to Hotel Due Mari Rimini
We arrived after a 5-hour drive to the Hotel. I could tell from the not so busy street that the crowds had gone. We parked at the roadside where we did not have to pay and did the check-in at the reception. They were friendly and helpful and patiently explained what was included in our stay. Before long, the check-in process was done and we could go up to the room.
I just want to add that the photo I took of the Reception area was on the last day. There was never any opportunity to take a photo without the staff. On this particular instance, the reception personnel was off to the side tending to questions from another guest.
Hotel Due Mari Rimini Room
We were shown to the room by a very nice staff from the reception , I unfortunately did not get his name. He explained that we were in the superior double room which had undergone a recent renovation. When the door opened we got the first view of our spacious room. It was classic white and was a good choice as this made the room bright.
There was a Hotel Safe in the room and no coffee or tea making facilities were included.
The bathroom had marble looking tiles which were white and gave the room an elegant look. It was equipped with a rain shower. There was a door from the bathroom that could open fully and could step out onto the balcony where we could hang our clothes. Very comfortable!
The bed has comfortable mattresses and air conditioning was just nice , which was a good thing. When we left the windows open the first night , plenty of mosquitoes came in. After that we kept the doors closed at night.
During the day though, it was very comfortable to be able to go outside to the balcony and admire the stretch of sandy beach.
Culinary Delights in Hotel Due Mari
These days we prefer to go for Hotel with meals included. We had the all-inclusive package which provided us with breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Hotel. This was the best decision ever because the food is first class here. Even if you are not staying here, I would recommend that you come in for a meal.
Our package included non-alcoholic drinks during meals. We had expected to be served meals in courses at the table. So we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a buffet. Guests did not take the food by themselves but instead served by the restaurant staff with whichever dish you wanted.
I highly rate the quality of food here- if you are a fan of seafood as I am , you get very good options here. The salad bar has also plenty of selections. The dessert if you have still room is sinfully good as well. They are very generous here and I have the feeling that they want to make the Guest happy which I have to say is not as common as I would wish everywhere.
Hotel Due Mari RiminiFacilities
The Hotel Due Mari Rimini is very obviously a Beach Hotel and I really liked that they focus on that fact. In our all-inclusive package we were able to enjoy the beach with a fixed place throughout our stay there. We were provided with 2 beach loungers and an umbrella. We also had the option for our lunch to be served at the beach! The beach was very near and we had to cross the road but it was all very convenient. There were facilities at the Beach such as toilets, changing room and playground for the kids. The place was also kept very clean. This area is not owned by the Hotel but it was arranged that we could use it without paying.
The sand was the kind that i like soft and fine. The waters were already cooling down – so I preferred to be at the beach but Rainer is the tough one who can swim in colder waters. So he did.
I used the Hotel pool instead which was heated and very comfortable. I truly appreciated that and the pool area was not large but it was very comfortable with loungers and umbrellas and very easy to get lost in a book by the pool.
What i really like as well is there are plenty of spaces to sit and order a drink from the Bar to be enjoyed at comfortable seats. Well done there Hotel Due Mari!
There is a slide and swing for the children with carpeted grass so that the adults could enjoy conversations while the kids played safely not far away.
Granted that there are not so many facilities available but the ones that mattered to us were there.
The Verdict on the Hotel Due Mari Rimini
If you have followed my blog for awhile, you would know that location is high on my list of criterias of choosing the Hotel. We were just across the road from the Beach. There is a bus stop right in front of the Hotel which brought us to Rimini City Center.
Most of all Hotel Due Mari is a small hotel with a big heart. We felt taken care of during our stay. We are not big on talking much during meals and the staff was sensitive to it and left us to our meals in peace while still being attentive and friendly. The food was top notch and 5-star service from the Hotel staff. Definitely a highly recommend from me.
