I have a full time-job like many, many people out there and de-stress by short travels over the weekend or by managing mainly one or 2 week holidays per place.
I love road trips, short weekend getaways and cruising. When I am on vacation , I want a level of comfort , a nice place to return to after a full day of seeing the sights. And so my backpacking hostel days are very much over. Still I don't want to spend unnecessarily much for hotels where I will spend only a couple of hours sleeping in. This results in deep research for travel deals that I can throw together on my own. Since my travel time is short my research includes packing in a detailed itinerary on my destinations.
